IV Cannula

IV Cannula

IV Cannula (Intravenous Cannula) is designed for continuous or intermittent intravenous infusion of fluids, medications, or blood products in medical and clinical settings. It consists of a sharp stainless-steel needle enclosed in a flexible, kink-resistant PTFE or FEP catheter that allows smooth vein entry and minimizes patient discomfort. The cannula features a color-coded hub for easy gauge identification, a flashback chamber for immediate visual confirmation of vein puncture, and an injection port (optional) for easy administration of medication without the need for repeated venipuncture. It is available in a range of sizes, typically 14G, 16G, 18G, 20G, 22G, 24G, and 26G, to suit various clinical needs. Each IV cannula is sterile, non-toxic, non-pyrogenic, and intended for single use only.
